The Hazel (tree) presents and produces an important kind of nut-fruit, (which is) very appreciated on the domestic and global markets. Plantation cultivation of hazel (trees) are mostly done on the Asian, European and North – American continent. Serbia provides the favorable environmental conditions for the growth and cultivation of hazelnut and thus is given the opportunity for this project and plantation.

In terms of environmental conditions, morphological and physiological properties hazel is favorable for plantation cultivation. It is grown on plantations for the purpose of the production of its fruit: Hazelnut. Hazelnut has nourishing properties. It is being used in various forms but mainly in the desserts and confectionery industry.
